The elders enjoyed their trip to the Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN. They toured the historical farm, town, cars, motorcycles, and fossils. Several of the elders discussed things they used or had when they grew up. It was awesome to hear about their life when they were children.
They have all wars represented. We had David, a Vietnam Veteran, with us. David talked about his tour in Vietnam, what he drove and what weapons he used. We need to remember all our Veterans and make sure to say Thank You! Just watching his face you could see a little of his experience and it was not great memories and all we could do was hug him and say Thank You for all you did for us!
Everyone had a great time and we learned a little bit more of our elders’ story.
