Trip to Discovery Park of America

The elders enjoyed their trip to the Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN. They toured the historical farm, town, cars, motorcycles, and fossils. Several of the elders discussed things they used or had when they grew up. It was awesome to hear about their life when they were children.

Valentine’s King & Queen Court

Each neighborhood votes for a Valentine’s King and Queen. This year we also had a visit from Billy Hardwick Jr.. He is our elder’s number one singer/songwriter. He sang love songs and some of the elderss favorites.

We made fajitas! The elders always have a blast. Therapy joined in and we had twice the fun!

Elders Christmas Play with Erin Elementary School

The Elders were invited to be part of Erin Elementary School second grade Christmas play “The Grinch stole Christmas.” The children done an excellent job and our Elders loved being part of it. It was a great night and Thank You for asking us to be part of your important night!!!

Mr. Ralph turns 93!

Mr. Ralph Martin turned 93 year old this week. He celebrated with his family and enjoyed cake. Mr. Ralph is one of our World War II Veterans. Happy Birthday and Thank You for your service, Mr. Ralph!

Bingo Auction

The Elders get “Bingo Bucks” for participating in activities and playing bingo. They get to spend their bucks at our auctions. They are always fun and you never know what will been in the auction.

Science Project Fun

We do all kinds of activities daily but one the Elders look forward to is our Science Projects. This project was “What melts a candy cane the fastest and how it reacts in each substance.” We put 1 candy cane in a cup of hot water, cup of oil and a cup of vinegar. What happened? The hot water melted it the fastest, the vinegar slowly melted it and the oil made it swell. We learn something new everyday!

We welcomed a new member to our home Alex Butaud he is an Administrator in Training. He will learn many great things in Erin to carry to his new Signature home in the future. I think he might have been surprised????

Signature HealthCARE of Erin elders enjoy cooking, and we made “Grinch Mix” to go with our Grinch week. They enjoyed eating it just as much as making it. What fun getting into the Christmas spirit together!
