Signature of Erin nursing home partners with American Legion to bring together war veterans. The group will meet the first Monday of every month at 5:30, downstairs of Signature HealthCARE located at 278 Rocky Hollow Road, Erin, Tennessee 37061.

Signature HealthCARE (SHC) of Erin, a local nursing home, has partnered with several groups to bring its residents together with other local war veterans.

SHC of Erin is now hosting the local chapter of the American Legion’s monthly meetings and bringing together members of the Legion with residents of the home who have also served in American wars. The American Legion is also including both veteran residents and employees of the nursing home among its members.

SHC of Erin’s Quality of Life Department is helping the residents attend the meetings while the home’s kitchen staff provides a meal for attendees.

“I love seeing the excitement among the veterans who are visiting our residents and compassionately caring for their needs and respecting their service to our freedoms in this country,” said David Steppee, Chaplain at SHC of Erin. “We have many residents and staff members who are veterans, and it is exciting to see this bond growing.”

Fort Campbell, Kentucky. is located just 40 miles north of Erin, and is home to the 101st Airborne Division. The area boasts one of the largest veteran populations in the United States.
